Own products: FoodCheck and FitWise
FoodCheck and FitWise, Our Own AI Products, Self-Built
Instead of only advising, we built our own AI-powered consumer apps ourselves, from idea to operation.

Situation
Alongside client work, the founder built his own consumer products: FoodCheck and FitWise, mobile apps in nutrition and fitness, where AI was not meant as an add-on but as part of the actual product function.
Task
As founder and developer, both apps were to be built entirely in-house: the mobile applications in Flutter, the associated backend APIs, and the AI services with OpenAI integration that form the core of the product function.
Implementation
Flutter apps
Mobile applications for FoodCheck and FitWise, for iOS and Android from one codebase.
Backend APIs
Own server infrastructure supplying both apps with data and logic.
AI services with OpenAI
AI integration as a core function of the apps, not a feature bolted on afterward.
Full operation
Both products run in-house, owned end to end.
Approach
Both products were built and operated as the sole developer and founder, from the mobile frontend through the backend APIs to the AI services. The AI integration was built into the app's central usage flow from the start, not added on afterward.
Result
FoodCheck and FitWise run as our own AI products, fully self-built and self-operated. The experience from building our own products (integration, cost, reliability of AI services in real operation) feeds directly into client work.
Transferable lessons
Your own product is a different discipline than advising
Whoever builds and operates carries the same integration and cost questions as their own clients.
AI belongs in the core usage flow
As an add-on it stays replaceable; at the core of the app it becomes the product.
End-to-end ownership makes AI reliable
Mobile, backend, and AI services from one hand avoid friction at the interfaces.
